About: The first brick home in Lockport, this historic house was built by Col. William Bond in 1824 and later became the dwelling of Jesse Hawley, an Erie Canal advocate. Later, relatives of Abraham Lincoln's Secretary of the Treasury, Salmon P. Chase, moved into the estate. Docents offer guided tours and historical exhibits are scheduled throughout the year.
