About: Widely believed to be the premier destination for theater in Western New York, Shea's welcomes some of the top touring Broadway shows in the world.
For instance, the 2014-15 Broadway Series features "Beauty and the Beast," "The Book of Mormon," "Chicago," "The Phantom of the Opera" and "Mamma Mia."
Although theater is the major draw for Shea's, concerts, dance performances and fundraising events fill out the organization's calendar.
The building itself is considered a national historic site because of its elaborate architecture and interior restoration. During non-show days, tours are given between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
