About: Notable people from the Springville area will be taking part in a gala auction on Friday, December 21 as part of Springville Center for the Arts’ Visions of Greater Springville program. Sixteen high-profile area individuals were selected from different businesses, governments, organizations and churches. These “VIP’s” were given a disposable camera and two weeks to photograph images that represent the greater Springville area. One image from each participant was selected by SCA staff, enlarged, and framed for presentation. The selected artwork will be on display in the Harold L. Olmsted Gallery at Springville Center for the Arts in conjunction with the Winter’s Presence exhibit starting November 23. The exhibit will continue to be on display during regular gallery hours until the gala event on December 21. The gala event begins at 7pm with registration, refreshments and music. At 8pm, each piece is individually auctioned with the proceeds benefiting the Center’s spring programs. Participants include Marti Anderson - Retired School Nurse, Springville Kiwanis; Keith Clark - Pastor, Springville Crossing Church; Philip Drozd - Concord Town Board; Jeanne Ellis - Oasis Bed & Breakfast, Melissa Frank - Metro Kirsch Real Estate, PTA; Rev. Matthew French - Pastor, Springville First UMC; Kara Kane - Bertrand Chaffee Hospital, Joel Maul - Concord Historical Society, Liz Melock - Administrator, Village of Springville; Lacey Miller - Concord Democratic Committee; Jennifer Morris - Director, Concord Public Library; Kimberly Moritz - Superintendent, SGI Schools, J.P. Nabozny - Soli Deo Gloria Barber Shop, Ang Shaver - Root 39 Salon, Rob Sprague - Southtowns Tireman Manager, Pat Thoman - Bread of Life Outreach.
