About: The panels depict the diverse collection the late Dr. Charles Rand Penney donated to the Niagara History Center/Erie Canal Discovery Center and 6 other historic and cultural sites. This traveling exhibit opened at the Erie Canal Discovery Center and will later make its way to the other sites (Buffalo History Museum, Buffalo Museum of Science, Burchfield-Penney Art Center, Castellani Art Museum, Roycroft Campus, Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Site). The seven participating sites received a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) to exhibit panels displaying photos of Penney's donations to their sites. Each site has one themed panel in this exhibit, which includes introductory and summary panels. The companion exhibit "The Advertisements of the Penney Trail" is now at the Niagara History Center, 215 Niagara St., Lockport.
